DRUG ARRESTS MADE OVER THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

 

 

November 28, 2016

On November 25, 2016 Tishomingo Sheriff Deputies were investigating a traffic accident in the area of Paden. While working the accident, deputies noticed a pickup truck make an illegal turn in the road and head down another street. The deputies were able to stop the vehicle as it pulled into a residence. The deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle and asked for Consent to Search of the vehicle. The driver gave the deputies consent and during the search, deputies recovered some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE as well as some paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

JUSTIN SAULS, 30-year-old white male, of 758 Highway 25 South, Dennis, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). SAULS is currently detained in the Tishomingo County Jail with a bond of $5,000.00 for the felony charge set by the judge.

 

On November 26, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff Deputies stopped a vehicle on Jefferson Street in Burnsville for a seatbelt violation. When the deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, the deputy could smell an odor that is consistent to MARIJUANA. The deputy then asked the driver was there any MARIJUANA in the vehicle, to which the driver reached into the middle console of his vehicle and handed the deputy a bag that contained a very large amount of alleged MARIJUANA along with some scales. The driver was then arrested and transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

CORTEZ TRAVONE KEITH, 28-year-old black male, of 28 Jefferson Street, Burnsville, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (MARIJUANA)W/INTENT TO SELL. KEITH is currently detained in the Tishomingo County Jail with a bond of $2,500.00 for the felony charge set by the judge.
