COUPLE ARRESTED FROM TISHOMINGO FOR METHAMPHETAMINE

On February 3, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff Deputies conducted a “SAFETY CHECK-POINT” in the area of CR 118 in Tishomingo. During the checkpoint, a vehicle pulled up to the officers and the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. At this time the deputies placed the driver under arrest and found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in the pocket of the driver. The driver attempted to flee but was quickly arrested without incident. Once the driver was placed in the patrol unit, the deputies conducted a search of his vehicle, to which more alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found and also on the ground. The passenger of the vehicle was then arrested for possession and a pipe was found on her during her initial arrest. Both the driver and passenger was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
TONY NELSON CARTER, 46-year-old, white male, of 205 CR 134 Tishomingo, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) along with several other misdemeanor charges. CARTER’s FELONY bond was set by Justice Court at $5,000.00
MISTY WHITEHEAD, 38-year-old, white female, also of 205 CR 134 Tishomingo, Mississippi was also officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and her bond was also set at $5,000.00 by Justice Court.
