BOONEVILLE MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS

February 14, 2017

On February 11, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff Deputies were conducting a “SAFETY CHECK-POINT” at HWY 350 in Tishomingo County.  During the “SAFETY CHECK-POINT”, a vehicle approached the officers and the driver appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic.  The driver was then found to have a large quantity (approximately 216 tablets) of alleged ALPRAZOLAM tablets (Xanax) along with some alleged MARIJUANA in the vehicle.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

DAVID MICHAEL JONES, 21-year-old, of 310 South King Street Booneville, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (ALPRAZOLAM).  JONES’ bond was set by Justice Court at $1,500.00.
