BAD DRIVING LEADS TO A DRUG ARREST

February 21, 2017

On February 17, 2017, Tishomingo Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Pike Street in Iuka due to the driver of the vehicle, almost hitting another vehicle head on.  When the deputy approached the driver of the vehicle, the deputy noticed what appeared to be a syringe with some alleged narcotics inside the vehicle.  The deputy retrieved the syringe and the driver stated that some alleged SUBOXONE was inside the syringe.  The deputy then detained the driver and then found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE in the jacket of the driver.  The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

AUDREY EMBREY, 33-year-old, white female, of 562 CR 231 Iuka, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE).  EMBREY remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by Justice Court.
